Netduma R2 Constantly needing a reboot

Hello,

Fraser told me to start a new post for this issue. My router will be working fine and then multiple times a day (feels like its when my roommate uses his macbook or apple tv) the router will randomly stop working entirely and need to be rebooted.

I tried changing the DHCP leasing time to 168. Still happening just as frequently. Attached is the most recent log.

Thanks for the log. What is the modem/router model the R2 is connected to? Try disabling the QoS fully from the Congestion Control menu :menu and see whether when your roommate uses those devices if it stays up

Thanks for trying, is this log from when you're disconnected or after a reboot? Disable the protection options in WAN settings please and see if that makes a difference

The log clears once a reboot is done so no need to provide the logs in that case, let us know if it improves after the previous suggestion.

Ok sounds good.

I know this isn't a suggestion box, but if you have any say in things like this maybe pass it along. I feel like it would be a good idea if there was a cache of logs that were specifically saved because the internet cut out or other errors. maybe keep them in there for 24h and then delete, idk.

I'm not sure of the tech constraints but that could be a possibility. In a scenario where the issue is quite unique we can enable logs that will get sent to us in the case of a disconnection

alright so since we talked a month ago its been a constant occurrence, we reset the router multiple times a day because the internet over the wifi will stop working over and over.

Let me know if there are network settings you recommend for greater stability in general as i've got a blank slate here after the factory reset.

You could disable the protection options but other than that you could give devices reserved IPs and extend the DHCP lease time to 168hours
