Alex33 Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Is it possible to access to the routerlogin interface from a computer remotely ? using any internet outside.
Netduma Liam Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Yes, you can use the VPN service in Netgear's settings. You can then connect to the router over a VPN client and access your internal network and the interface. This article should help you get setup:https://kb.netgear.com/23854/How-do-I-use-the-VPN-service-on-my-Nighthawk-router-with-my-Windows-client
Alex33 Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 I tried to access with open VPN on Android. Doesn't work. I tested many configurations.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 25, 2021 Administrators Posted September 25, 2021 If the modem/router ahead of the XR isn't setup to pass traffic straight through to the XR it won't work i.e. needs to be in modem/bridge mode or have the XR WAN IP in its DMZ. If you just want access to the interface, remote management in Advanced Settings is the easiest way to do it.
Alex33 Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 I did this but doesn't work. What settings should i do ?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 25, 2021 Administrators Posted September 25, 2021 Go to Google, type my ip press enter, copy that then put it in the URL bar and then add :8443 to the end, press enter and see whether that gives you access. If it's really slow use HTTP at the front instead of HTTPS.
