Can't access DumaOS - Virgin Media.

I've just received my NetDuma R2 today and hooked it up to my Virgin Media 3.0 Hub and haven't been able to access the DumaOS default gateway at 192.168.77.1
I have tried https://r2 and https://dumaos/ on Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge. I've tried putting my router into modem mode and I have also tried switching back into router mode. Every time my default gateway points back to the Virgin Media Hub and not the NetDuma router (192.168.0.1). I haven't been able to add the router into my DHCP settings in my Virgin Media router because the router doesn't even see it as a connected device.

Thanks in advance!

Hey, thanks for the reply!

I used the Cat6 Ethernet that was provided in the packaging to connect the R2 to the V Hub. I'm currently using a separate Ethernet that's connected to the R2 to attempt to connect to the R2 gateway.

Try a different ethernet cable to the one we provided - make sure its the R2 WAN port to one of the V hub LAN ports. Try connecting to the WiFi to access the interface instead. If that doesn't work, while connected via ethernet to the router open command prompt on the PC, type ipconfig press enter and post the results here.

For some reason WiFi doesn't appear to be working, the 2.4GHz nor the 5 have the lights on and the SSID doesn't come up on my Phone when stood next to the R2. As said before, when checking the default gateway it just points me to the Virgin Media Gateway and not the R2.

Set a static IP on the PC itself that is connected via ethernet to the router using this information and this guide (control panel) https://pureinfotech.com/set-static-ip-address-windows-10/
192.168.77.100
255.255.255.0
192.168.77.1
DNS 192.168.77.1
then see if you can access the interface please.

Couldn't access the interface. Lost connection to the internet entirely. tried setting a static IP via control panel too after flushing netsh and no luck. Just led me to this address with this page.

Did it redirect you to that address or is that what you entered? If the latter, make sure you're going to 192.168.77.1, it may also be worth clearing your browser cache or just trying this from an incognito window.

I went to 192.168.77.1 and that’s what I got redirected to. I’ve already cleared my cache but I’ll try again. I’ll also give incognito a go

Cleared Cache in the browser and tried accessing from both a regular and incognito window and received this in both windows. Didn't actually redirect me to 192.168.0.1 this time, still no luck though.

It shouldn't be redirecting you to that address if you unplugged the internet cable from the R2 - only power and your PC should be connected, then try accessing the interface.

Just unplugged the cable to the V Hub from the R2 and i got the same error page as above. Doesn't seem like the page exists haha

Okay remove the static IP then do ipconfig again while only the PC and power are connected, what does it show there?

Same results as before. no idea why it shows 192.168.0.1 when the virgin hub isn't connected in anyway whatsoever. I do have two virgin Powerline boosters which I've disconnected and unplugged and I've factory reset the Virgin Hub 3 and disabled guest mode. Is it possible that I have a faulty R2?

Okay so could you try accessing 192.168.0.1 which the V hub still isn't connected, does anything appear?

I get pretty much the same thing as when i'm trying to access DumaOS..

I think in this case we're going to need to provide you with a replacement R2, could you please email [email protected] with a link to this thread to request this?

Just sent an email over, awaiting response. I'll post any updates as to whether things work out.

Been almost a week and no email received. How long does a reply usually take?

Did you send an email from the email associated with your forum account? I've had a look and aren't able to find anything from you. I'll send you an email now to start the process.
