Geo Filter Not Showing Connections

I used to see all of the friends in my party but lately all I see is the same 3 connections when I look at the geo-filter. As an example I play with a friend who lives in Colorado and I used to see that connection pop up on my map but not there is nothing. Is this a setting that might haver changed?

I play on Xbox Series X (mainly Destiny 2) and I'm running firmware version XR500 V2.3.2.114

By your party are you referring to party chat or in your party in-game? We are currently working on improvements to Destiny in Geo-filter, the changes you've seen lately are likely due to an update Bungie made whereby Destiny essentially operates on a server-based matchmaking system, so you're likely just seeing servers in Geo-filter now.

Yeah, before if I was in a party with different people I would see them on the geo filter. Now I just see the same 4 spots on the map even if I'm playing a 6v6.

Yep you'll be connecting via servers now so you won't be able to see them as individual players on the map any more.
