Rad
Hey, guys have some idea about this? i tried lot of things but nothig i got it. I had fiber and a router with ont integrated... i had ports open, dmz... and works perfect i got nat open in warzone. i bought XR500 and a new separate ONT... I Conect ONT in mode bridge to WAN XR500 and PC To LAN and same, ports open, dmz... but i only got moderate nat ,same with geofiltering disabled... the tracert to my public ip shows only 1 jump so, i dont think its nothing about double nat. i really appreciate any idea about what i should try, im done with this
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 11, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 11, 2021 Hey, welcome to the forum! What is the model of the new ONT? In WAN Settings on the XR set NAT to open then reboot the PC, does it appear open then?
Rad
Thanks for help me bro! :), yes, The ont is a Ubiquiti fiber nano G. In wan settings nat is already open I send some screenshots maybe you see something i dont see
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 11, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 11, 2021 Okay so you're using a lot of port options to try and get an open NAT which could be causing conflicts. Remove the DMZ and port forwarding rules, leave UPnP enabled and NAT set to Open, does that work? As you're getting a public IP through the router there is no routing above you, possible you have a CG NAT
Rad
Yes i tried all combinations with dmz without dmz with upnp without upnp etc, i tried now exactly as you say and got moderated again(upnp detects port with game open, but not really open it). I dont think its CG NAT cause if im right mi public ip should be diferent as my dchp, i check and its the same. I´m really done with this, i dont know what is happening
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 11, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 11, 2021 I see the ONT has an interface, usually accessible via 192.168.1.1 and username/password both ubnt can you take a screenshot of what you see once on the interface please? Rad
Yes, Ubiquiti has an interface, by default on 192.168.1.1 when i conect directly to pc y joined and change to 192.168.100.1 and set the ont in bridge mode. In first moment i thought had diferents ips could be get a double nat, but Ubiquiti has set in bridge mode not router... and tracert to mi ip only get 1 jump so i dont think that was a trouble. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 11, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 11, 2021 Thank you for that, did you put it in bridge mode before the XR was connected?
Rad
No, bridge mode was by default, i just only change the ip to 192.168.100.1 ... could be works if i change the ip to another same as router could work? (for example: 192.168.1.2?), maybe its stupid what i say but i dont have any other idea , have you something better to try? 😅

Changing the ONTs IP wouldn't make I difference I don't think, though you're welcome to give it a go anyway!
Rad
ohhh sure i could try, i dont see dmz in config of ubitiqui, i see upnp, what lan ips should i configure to this test?, if i take 192.168.100.x this will be diferent as xr500, if i take 192.168.1.x then xr will not get dchp right? Netduma Liam
Having looked it up, there doesn't appear to be a specific DMZ function with the Ubiquiti just yet, so this plan isn't going to work. Let's go back to bridge mode. Could you then go back to the XR500 and setup a port forwarding rule for the following: Source: 3074 - 27050 Dest: 3074 - 27050 TCP & UDP
Rad
as i did in screenshot?, i did that...with dmz, without dmz, with upnp, without upnp, with upnp and dmz and without upnp and dmz, all cases got "nat moderate"... i conected only old router+ont(livebox fiber) isp again to see if something has change on my computer... but no, i got open nat with it... so the problem have to be in ubquiti or xr500, any idea? Rad
i did another test, i tried to put ubiquiti in router mode like screenshot, as router, its not good but id like to try it what nat i got it... and... got modereate nat too, it suposse bridge mode should not be the same but... im not sure what to think... 🤔

Theres is only one thing im not getting a good result and its ping with charge. you know what should i change to get some better results? thankss
Netduma Liam
Thanks for the support! We really appreciate it. That looks like you could do with optimising QoS a little more, perhaps try lowering the sliders in Congestion Control 5% at a time and perform a connection benchmark after each test, see if this improves this score at all? Rad
i tried going down bandwitch 5%... till 95% until finish in 10% i got "D" in all cases. I have something wrong? 🤔
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 14, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 14, 2021 No nothing wrong there, we're still improving upon Connection Benchmark so don't worry about Ping Under Load too much at the moment - your ping won't be that high. Rad
ohh, cool!!!! ill wait to new update to try again I have last question, i have voip on my isp, i cant get SIP code (the isp dont tell me and, untill i know, it cant be take out from router of the isp). there is any chance to conect router of isp in lan of the XR500 to continue having phone on VoIP mode?, if it is , how i should config it?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 14, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 14, 2021 Yes you should be able to connect the ISP router behind the XR - if it is just for VOIP then you probably don't need to configure any specific way. Meanwhile toggle SIP ALG in the XR500 WAN Settings and see if that helps with VOIP.
Rad
ohhh, im getting some troubles with that... I conect isp router lan to lan like this: ONT -> WAN to XR500 -> LAN to ISP Router .... i got device unknow and i see disconected... i tried to put manually dchp and configure an ip with same range (192.168.1.50) and i got a partially recognice... if i go in lan add ip static i see LIVEBOXFIBRA (name or the ISP router and right ip 192.168.1.50) but in red map i see 1 minute conected and change to 1 min. disconected.... 1 min. conected... 1 min. disconeted... and again and again... seems like ISP Router restart but he doesnt (lights dont go off)... i tried to mark and unmark SIP ALG In wan settings but nothing change. The light of Line in ISP router i never get on... i never did something like this, and i dont see too much information on internet... probably was a stupid thing but have no idea what is failing, i send screens about it, what u think i should try? Netduma Liam
Could you please confirm that the cable from the XR to the ISP is connected to the ISPs WAN port?
Rad
Eh, no, the isp router has not wan port, have 2 phone ports, 4 lan ports, usb port and fiber port, i did the conection to the xr to lan1 port
