My internet speed just doubled; How?

all of a sudden my internet speed has almost doubled. Doubt my ISP is going to give me 250 Mb/ 20 Mb considering they don't even offer anything faster than the 150 Mb/ 10 Mb I already have. Only change I made was I turned off the wireless capability of the R2 and added another router (Wi-Fi 6) in access point mode for all Wi-Fi connections because I have been having problems with the R2 dropping my internet connection only when IPads are being used. How is this possible?

Guess I will have to wait and see if my ISP catches this.

That is strange to hear this.. I can see ones speeds a bit higher then what they pay for but not to the extent to where its as much as your saying..Id monitor this for awhile.. Maybe they are being generous! lol.. Tbh I never heard of this before.. Its usually the other way around! Good for you though! ha ha..

Zippy.

I get 50Mbps more than advertised but certainly not that much. Perhaps they are testing higher speeds in preparation for a new subscription tier and so doing it with those that have the highest speeds with them already, in which case I would expect it to go back to normal after awhile.

Doubt it. This cable internet provider is so far behind the rest. Took them years before they got anywhere near 100 MB/s as I have been stuck with them for years now. I moved states 3+ hours away and still managed to get stuck with the same ISP again. My luck. They only upgraded to Docsis 3.0 maybe 2-3 years ago. Its not a big company and the service is not cheap. $100 a month.
