I got the xr500 Thanks Do you have UPnP turned on? Have you port forwarded the PS4 or PS5? These two things work for me. After making the changes on the router reset the PS4 or PS5. (Power it off and on again)
Hydros85 Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 i have the same in ps5 upnp does not working with ps5,in the Wan settings the nat filtering option set to open
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 5, 2021 Administrators Posted March 5, 2021 What does the PS5 network settings specifically say for NAT, what type is it? Most likely the Geo-Filter is causing a misreading, disabling then rebooting the game should make it open.
ij10big Posted March 5, 2021 Author Posted March 5, 2021 The majority of times it says type 3 but even with the geo filter off it says that and some times it says two but very few
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 5, 2021 Administrators Posted March 5, 2021 What is your exact physical setup? - What is the XR connected to, what is the model of it? Is it a pure modem (no wifi) or a modem/router (wifi)? If the latter how have you set it up to ensure an open NAT?
ij10big Posted March 5, 2021 Author Posted March 5, 2021 Is modem/roueter but the only thing conected is the xr500 i use the xr500 for wifi and the ps5 is conected via lan

You will need to do something like that to ensure an open NAT on devices connecting to the XR.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 5, 2021 Administrators Posted March 5, 2021 Can you take a screenshot of where you've done that please?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 5, 2021 Administrators Posted March 5, 2021 Yes that is good thanks. You don't need to cover the IP as it is a local IP. Do you have Parental Control or UPnP or anything enabled on the Technicolor? If so it would be better to turn off all of that as it can cause this issue.

Sorry about that , the parental control ,the UPnP yes ok let me see when i turned off

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 6, 2021 Administrators Posted March 6, 2021 Okay that's progress so the console is getting an open NAT. On the XR WAN Settings switch NAT to open and see if it is open on the game.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 6, 2021 Administrators Posted March 6, 2021 That doesn't really make any sense, have you got any other port/NAT settings active such as port forwarding, triggering etc? Are you able to put the technicolor in bridge/modem mode instead?
ij10big Posted March 6, 2021 Author Posted March 6, 2021 Maybe it was my technicolor because it wouund work today so i jist got another one but it says stict the new one i justbplug it o dint mess with it
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 6, 2021 Administrators Posted March 6, 2021 If the new one is on default settings you will need to do the DMZ again at least.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 6, 2021 Administrators Posted March 6, 2021 If the console is NAT Type 2 then that is open and it's impossible for the game to be strict. Do you have any friends who have a moderate NAT type? If so can you connect to them?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 7, 2021 Administrators Posted March 7, 2021 It is very likely a misreading rather than anything you are doing, do you have any friends who have a moderate NAT type? If so can you connect to them?
