Best Router Settings to use for gaming!

What are best gaming settings to use and to have? I have like 1000mbps down & 40mbps up.. I just want to know what settings that i should be using!! :)

I have the Netgear XR1000.

 

I'll appreciate it if you can help me!

It is very subjective and varies for every connection. What settings are you using currently? Where are you located and what game are you playing?

the default settings, i didn’t change anything because i don’t know how to do that kind of stuff at the moment! & Pennsylvania & any type of games.

Okay first of all I'd recommend you follow the tours/popups that appear on each of the pages for the first time, that should get you up and running pretty well.

I did that, but i want to get the best out of my router, is there any ideas or recommendations that you recommend ?
