Das916 Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Connection not working on R2 internet light not lighting up and will not work and this router I just got yesterday due to my other R2 rapps not working/malfunctioning
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6, 2021 Administrators Posted February 6, 2021 Have you run through the setup wizard yet to get internet? What is your exact physical setup?
Das916 Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 ARRIS SURFboard S33 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Multi-Gig Cable Modem with 2.5 Gbps… and the R2
Das916 Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 And yes I went through the setup wizard I also work for a internet provider called Comcast installing internet and cable tv so I’m very familiar how to setup equipment
Das916 Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 You can have these routers back just send me a working tested and verified router or just refund me my money and I will get a netgear nighthawk with the duma os
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6, 2021 Administrators Posted February 6, 2021 Can you disable Energy Efficient Ethernet on the modem please and then reboot the R2 and see if that works. Did you get internet with it initially when you first set it up? You can see the terms here: netduma.com/terms
rahabash Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Interesting. I also just encountered this issue using motorola surfboard modem and comcast isp. Verified no outages and that direct to modem I was getting WAN. But ya, just out of nowhere r2 could not get a WAN IP.. Ultimately, I had to factory reset the router and during setup wizard WAN was not found so I saved settings without providing client id or device id and all the sudden it was able to get a WAN IP. Good luck!

Das916 Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 Ok I have the new router up is the energy efficient in the settings
Das916 Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 As you see the internet light on router doesn’t come on at all
Das916 Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 I did a factory restore also but can’t find the energy efficient option
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6, 2021 Administrators Posted February 6, 2021 Energy Efficient Ethernet is a setting on the modem you can turn off. Can you use Google Chrome to access the interface please to try and complete the wizard and get internet?
Das916 Posted February 7, 2021 Author Posted February 7, 2021 I see it exactly where is it in settings
Das916 Posted February 7, 2021 Author Posted February 7, 2021 I don’t see it where is it exactly if settings last message was a typo
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 7, 2021 Administrators Posted February 7, 2021 Access the modem via 192.168.100.1 Username: admin Password: password There aren't too many pages on its interface but it's most likely on the configuration page but if not have a look around. Disable then reboot the R2. Do you have internet with the R2 now?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 7, 2021 Administrators Posted February 7, 2021 As in you couldn't find the option to disable or you still don't have internet access through the R2?
Das916 Posted February 7, 2021 Author Posted February 7, 2021 I’m confident I was sent a broken router
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 7, 2021 Administrators Posted February 7, 2021 Do you have access to the R2 interface currently? Disable IPv6 in WAN/LAN settings. Do you get an IP shown on the System Information page?
Das916 Posted February 8, 2021 Author Posted February 8, 2021 Yes there is a Ip but the router isn’t sending signal like I’ve been saying
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 9, 2021 Administrators Posted February 9, 2021 What is the IP address you're seeing there?
Das916 Posted February 9, 2021 Author Posted February 9, 2021 I contacted the email for you guys and there taken care of me already thanks I couldn’t let this string on any longer I already disconnected the router and boxed it up I’ve lost 5 days pay already appreciate your help
