Boss RuBiX Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 My IP address got leaked over my sons stream last night, He said he thought he was in cover screen or whatever when he was in cmd getting his Ip> So now about 50-75 ppl have our Ip. WIll someone pls tell me how to change this. I called my ISP and they said i just need to reset my router, I did that with the netduma R2 and its still the same. Will someone pls come to the rescue before god knows what happens..... Thank you for any help in advance
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 5, 2021 Administrators Posted February 5, 2021 You don't reset the R2 you would do that with the ISP modem/router. If that doesn't work, unplug it for 10 minutes then plug it back in again and it should have changed.
Zippy Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 Who is your ISP? It varies per ISP.. If you have a Dynamic public IP what I always do is power cycle the modem to obtain a different IP.. This sometimes works.. When I called my ISP on this awhile back they told me I need to unplug my modem for about 20mins in order to obtain a new IP if the simple power cycling doesnt work.. But im sure this is all different pending on who or what type of ISP one has.. Good luck! Zippy.
Boss RuBiX Posted February 5, 2021 Author Posted February 5, 2021 i have google fiber. All i have is a fiber jack,, and that goes into the netduma.. maybe if i unplug that for said 10 min it will work?
