R2 can't handle Gigabit

So I have several routers, most of them get consistent 900Mbps. The Netduma r2 only gets about 600-700Mbps. Am I doing something in the settings? QOS is totally disabled as I don't think it would do anything with this bandwidth.  I think this router for gaming at $175 price point is pretty sweet but it is advertised as being able to handle 1000Mbps and does not. Also the WiFi 5G only operates on 20Mhz and both the 2.4 and 5  throughput is really low compared to other routers.  Of coarse they don't have the DumaOS so its a trade off but would be nice to get the best of both worlds.

I have also purchased and played with the Netgear products that have better hardware but for some reason they don't work as well for gaming. Mainly hit registration on FPS.  Little confused on this other than I know these are machines that flash the DumaOS and R2 is built with the OS system in mind. This is the only thing I can come up with.
