xr500 hybrid vpn cannot connect to express vpn servers

hi im trying to use the hybrid vpn and i chose to use the express vpn . but when i try to connect using the vpn setup advance sectio and after im finished putting all thew info correctly, when i tried to check online if i have dns leak it will said that im not connected to any vpn and my dns are exposed, i hope someone can help me thanks in advance

How have you added your device to the Hybrid VPN exactly?

Actually bro i think ive done it right, first is setup the hybrid vpn, putvyhe username and passoword then the configuration then its all set, but when i go to expressvpn leak test it will say that im not connected and it said that my dns are exposed

You need to add the device you want to VPN to the feature - it does not apply to the router/all devices by default. Add the device you're using and select Do NOT VPN these services, don't add any services then reboot the device and see if it applies please.
