blakdice
So I'm trying to understand whats involved to ensure Geo Filter is 100 percent accurately working. I am located in Central Florida and despite a 500 Download 50 Upload cable connection ( all devices wired) I have never gotten under a ping below 40-50 ms. Also when trying to set my location to areas outside Central Florida and monitoring server connections I can never connect to a FL server. Usually a NAE or NAC server with the occasional West Coast ping. Is this just a result of SBMM or is there something I need to do to properly "APPLY" geo filter. Like should I be resetting my router or game console each time to lock or fully apply the settings or should it all happen in real time?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 13, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 13, 2021 Hey, welcome to the forum! What firmware version and router are you using? Could you provide a screenshot of the Geo-Filter page please? Then I can best advise.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 13, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 13, 2021 Hard turn off the game console, then disable Ping Assist (set to 0) wait 2 minutes then boot up the console and search. It will then exclusively search within the radius and get you better ping games.

You're on console so 40-50 is just about the lowest you'll ever see. PC players can get as low as 15 I believe but not us. I'm in Cali and my ping to the closest servers hovers around 39-

That makes sense, I've just never been able to get such a low ping in warzone. I've got 200/50 internet and connect to the server near me that shows 20 ping on the heatmap but i'll never have less than 39. But 39-50 for me is great. If so that is expected as the game includes things like processing delay into their calculation which can reflect how under load that server is.
