Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 1, 2021 Administrators Posted January 1, 2021 Are using the basic setup as in selecting a server from the list or have you added a PureVPN OpenVPN configuration file? You specified UDP so does that mean you've tried TCP and it works?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 2, 2021 Administrators Posted January 2, 2021 Okay so we'll likely need to update the UDP files then. It doesn't matter which you use to be honest as that's just how the tunnel connects - UDP and TCP will still be going through the VPN.
ifell Posted January 3, 2021 Author Posted January 3, 2021 A key difference between TCP and UDP is speed, as TCP is comparatively slower than UDP. Overall, UDP is a much faster, simpler, and efficient protocol, however, retransmission of lost data packets is only possible with TCP. watching netflix has been challenging with TCP, when UDP was working i had no trouble at all. with TCP loading videos on netflix takes much longer and get caught in a loop of loading and buffering, making movies unwatchable
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 3, 2021 Administrators Posted January 3, 2021 We'll need to update the configurations so in the meantime you'll need to obtain the config from PureVPN and then you can enter it into the VPN feature and connect via UDP.
