george m Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 hello, i have the following problem. 1)netduma comfuses my network with another name(OTE c EXT 2) which does not exist 2)when i select the existed network with name "netdumaR2" i have no access to internet. in this image seems that i haven't access to internet, also there are 2 networks. * i have connected an extender which works normally. the problem is that every time i lose internet access without doing something in settings. Have an idea in order to solve the problem? i repair it with reset every day 1 or 2 times and istall the connection again from start point.
Netduma Liam Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Hey George, Thanks for posting, welcome to the forum! Is this 'OTE...' network related to your ISP provided router by any chance? Perhaps this isn't configured correctly? How have you configured your network settings on your R2? Could you provide a screenshot? Are these drops occurring over both wired and wireless?
george m Posted December 10, 2020 Author Posted December 10, 2020 Thank you for your reply/help. yes, the network "OTE..." is my ISP provided network(cosmote is the isp, speedport plus the type of modem/router). i have connected R2 with bridge method and works well. however i have many dissconnections without doing/or changing something. also in cases i restart R2. It only fixes with reset and installment from the beginning. the drops occur over wired and wireless. i attach some prinscreen and inform me in case you need another screen.
Netduma Liam Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 OK, so the first thing I'd suggest is for you to set a static route to the R2, you can do this on the R2 by going to Network Settings -> WAN -> Static. Be sure to give your R2 an IP outside of the DHCP range. I would also suggest disabling IPv6 and seeing if that helps, as some users have reported issues with this. Also please untick "Enable DHCPv6 Server" in the modem settings. Could you please provide me with a screenshot of "Network Settings" on the R2s interface (Connect to R2 and go to /dumaos/ in browser).
george m Posted December 10, 2020 Author Posted December 10, 2020 ok thanks again. the first i want to ask is the ip. in first field(subnet mask i put 255.255.255.0 and the others 198.168.77.1 which is the router ip? i disable IPv6 and i can't find the selection "Enable DHCPv6 Server" in the modem settings. where is it? in THIS tab "DHCP" -> UNTICK "Enabled" ??

For IPv6 Liam was referring to on the Speedport. No do not untick enabled on that screen. It would actually be easier to set the static IP on the Speedport giving it the IP it already has in the Reserved IP Address section in this screenshot you provided: 6 hours ago, george m said:

Sorry could you clarify please - what do you mean after a shutdown / drop of power supply? If power is an issue then that's not something that router can deal with.
george m Posted December 14, 2020 Author Posted December 14, 2020 after drop of supply the router restarts and need set up again. it didn't keep the first settings. the same situation happens when i restart the R2.(what's the way to rebbot?by its menu page) **in previous topics/questions there wasn't shutdown..suddenly happens but we fix it with "reserved ip" i think
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 14, 2020 Administrators Posted December 14, 2020 Yes I would recommend you restart the menu and settings will save. If you're losing power thats not something we can help with and as it happens suddenly it may cause loss of settings.
