david 27 Posted November 17, 2020 I’m very pleased to discover you have released an app to access and configure DumaOS. I found I can connect when I attach to a WiFi network broadcast by the R2. However, I don’t use the R2 WiFi, I use a mesh WiFi network that is bridged to the R2 via Ethernet and I can’t get the app to connect when using this WiFi. Should the app be able to connect to the R2 over a bridged WiFi network? Is there anything I can configure to allow the app to connect via a bridged WiFi network? Netduma Fraser 10,910 Posted November 18, 2020 Just to clarify, are you saying you have modem/router > mesh > R2? If so then no it wouldn't be possible to connect as devices connected to the mesh can't see devices below them like that. You could make a hidden WiFi network on the R2 that you just connect to your phone whenever you want to access the app.
david 27 Posted November 18, 2020 Router->R2->mesh the mesh is in bridged mode so R2 provides DHCP for the entire network.
Netduma Fraser 10,910 Posted November 18, 2020 So you can see your mobile device shown on the R2 device manager with a 192.168.77.x IP address?
david 27 Posted November 18, 2020 Yes, all one subnet and I can see all devices that are connected to the mesh WiFi on the R2 device list with the R2 assigned IP.
Netduma Fraser 10,910 Posted November 18, 2020 Okay odd, on the App select the R2 specifically from the list instead of auto and see if it connects that way please.
