App not connecting via bridged WiFi network

I’m very pleased to discover you have released an app to access and configure DumaOS. I found I can connect when I attach to a WiFi network broadcast by the R2. However, I don’t use the R2 WiFi, I use a mesh WiFi network that is bridged to the R2 via Ethernet and I can’t get the app to connect when using this WiFi.

Should the app be able to connect to the R2 over a bridged WiFi network?

Is there anything I can configure to allow the app to connect via a bridged WiFi network?

Just to clarify, are you saying you have modem/router > mesh > R2? If so then no it wouldn't be possible to connect as devices connected to the mesh can't see devices below them like that. You could make a hidden WiFi network on the R2 that you just connect to your phone whenever you want to access the app.

Router->R2->mesh the mesh is in bridged mode so R2 provides DHCP for the entire network.

Yes, all one subnet and I can see all devices that are connected to the mesh WiFi on the R2 device list with the R2 assigned IP.
