I just received this in the mail. When trying to set everything up like manual says I’m getting could not detect internet connection. When directly connected to modem I have internet and when connected to other router I do as well

When you are going through the setup wizard for the R2 when you come to the part where it says cant detect your connection. At that point power cycle your modem and let it fully boot back up and then proceed and click the "retry" to see if it detects your connection then.. It should detect it.. Please report back how this goes for you..

Thanks!

Zippy.

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Sorry to hear you're having this issue. If the above advice doesn't work, do you know if you require anything special to connect to the internet like PPPoE? I would recommend connecting the old router, noting down what it had set in its Internet Settings and then setting that on the R2.

Everything is default on both.

Get it working again and then set static IP for the R2 in the modem/router or in the R2 settings, keep the IP the same, don't change it and see if that helps it reconnect properly after a reboot.
