rckrz6
I noticed that with ipv6 enabled, while downloading stuff from Microsoft store on my pc(which I assume is using ipv6) is not showing up on the network traffic page. I disabled ipv6 and then it works properly, showing all the bandwidth being used. Does qos work with ipv6? Also with ipv6 enabled I found the interface constantly freezing and I would have to wait about 10 min before it would load up again. I have the latest firmware and a factory reset was done after the update
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 14, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 14, 2020 Okay that is interesting, I won't be able to confirm this myself but could you try the firmware I have just sent you via PM first, do a factory reset and then if it continues I'll make a ticket for it. The update should definitely help with the interface. As far as I am aware QoS should be working with IPv6, are you not seeing that?

I am not sure if QOS is working or not with ipv6 it was more of a question because of the network page not working , I noticed that any traffic using ipv6 wasn't showing on the network monitor page, I will install the firmware you sent

rckrz6
i power cycled the router and it bricked itself, my network names defaulted themselves for some reason and i have no internet connection. I factory reset using the pin hole but it doesn't seem to do anything as i still can't access the UI. Will have to return or exchange
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 16, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 16, 2020 How exactly did you power cycle it? Use TFTP to upgrade to the same firmware and that should restore it: https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 16, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 16, 2020 Okay if the WiFi isn't working, disable the radios completely from advanced settings, apply, reboot, then enable, apply, reboot and see if that brings it back. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 19, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 19, 2020 It's likely showing an IP it previously held and the lease hasn't released yet. If you're worried about devices taking more than one IP assign then a reserved one in LAN Settings.
rckrz6
I checked the computer and the local IP address is the 192.168.1.18 The other address 192.168.17, i have no idea where it came from (maybe a previous address as stated) but it also will show up on another device and it will result in the wrong device using the bandwidth on the network monitor
