DumaOS Geo-Filter not loading on website

Hi,

 

I was having no issues for a long time. Now when ever I use the geo filter, the next day I need to reboot the router otherwise the loading wheel never goes away. See photo for reference. It just spins and spins until I reboot router and it works. Why is this? I have the XR500.

will the firmware fix this? I heard it breaks geofilter. I am on .56 not .66

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Yes the beta firmware should fix it although you can try .66 if you like but we haven't made any changes on that version.

What exactly is the beta and how can I get it? Will the beta cause more bugs on my end? Can you also give step by step instructions and explain what’s new. haha

The first link has a change log but it's not a full one as it is a later build.

Will this disrupt any current features? I don’t want to break my router any more haha. If it does harm it can I downgrade easily? After uploading the firm ware do I need to reset router or do anything to make sure it works.

That's really hard to say, some people say they've had no issues, others say they have but yes you can downgrade if needed, you do the same process as upgrading but instead use this firmware file: https://kb.netgear.com/000062461/XR500-Firmware-Version-2-3-2-66

And you say that 66 is the same as 56 in terms of geo filter?

Yes 66 is just security fixes, as far as I am aware we have no changes in that build.
