No internet connection from vm hub 3 router to night hawk

Had a new router sent out got the purple light when put into modem mode but can’t get an internet connection when using the nighthawk wizard to connect the night hawk as the new router. Any body had the same issue?

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Sorry to hear you're having this issue. Have you got the VM in modem or router mode? Are you connecting from one of the VM LAN ports to the XR WAN port?

Yes there connected to the xr500 but will not get the connection this is a new box from virgin the previous box the light was stuck on red, the new box is purple in modem mode but still can’t connect, tried using a high speed cat 6 Ethernet cable still no joy! Any ideas

Hi no connection in this mode, can’t get anywhere with virgin, is there any manual configuration you can use, starting to get annoyed now, 

tried using all the ports; using a hi speed cat 6 ethernet cable and still cant get a connection from the xr500 wizard!

Done all that logged in changed to modem, still can’t get a connection from the xr500

It should be plug and play, I'm on VM as well. Go through the Setup Wizard regardless of whether you get a connection as you won't be able to get a connection unless the setup is completed anyway. Then go to Settings > Internet Setup and make sure you're not using a login and click apply.

Hi mate can you explain how to go through the process on the wizard, these are the messages I’m getting

Hi have managed to get into the Dumaos settings, the vm box is in router modem is there some thing I need to enter into the dnv not sure what I need to do from here.
