deuce98lau
Does anyone have any knowledge as to how / why matchmaking is impacted when you change traffic prio or port forwarding? I've been testing Traffic Prio and at random times my CDL Matchmaking is incredibly slow. Regular pubs load faster, but CDL at times just doesn't fill lobbies if I put too many rules in Traffic Prio. I'm testing to see which ports improve my Hit Registers, but it's impacting Matchmaking and I am not sure why. Anyone have any input on what ports impact match making? or does DMZ/ UPNP impact it too?

felipe
So I set these to test which ports see traffic when I play cdl since here I can see packets. It bogged down my matchmaking. If I delete them it fills lobbies quickly again. Why would that be? Or was it random. It def got better each time I deleted these traffic prio rules
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 21, 2020 Administrators Share Posted October 21, 2020 You're literally prioritizing the entire console, downloads, unnecessary check ins etc so sort of defeating the purpose of the feature which is to prioritize just the gaming packets. deuce98lau
This is just a test to see which range has the most traffic and when the traffic occurs. i.e in the lobby waiting vs in the game mid gun fight. Why would this delay matchmaking though?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 21, 2020 Administrators Share Posted October 21, 2020 If you're prioritizing everything then the various things happening will be in a network queue so it may be perceiving that as some instability and therefore not putting you in a game immediately. That's speculation of course.
