If you have particularly bad routing to a game server i.e. you have a high ping to begin with then using a VPN can but not always help in that instance to provide a more efficient path to the server. You have added it, because you can't differentiate the services on the console it has greyed it out so it just applies to the console as a whole. SendNukes Posted September 27, 2020 Author Share Posted September 27, 2020 I got it to work. The only issue is that now that im on vpn, it starts matchmaking at <113 ms ping. My ping assist is set at 45. I let it put me in a game just to see if it was just an error, but ping was extremely high and I started having much bigger connection issues Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But I had no idda it actually restricted my speeds that badly. I'm on a gigabit plan and it had me slowed down to 5mbps / 900kbps on my ps4.
