sodey
Hi, I want to replace my modem to a different one. My present modem has a limit on download speed of 300Mbps and I am replacing it with a new modem that supports upto 2000 Mbps as my ISP has 1000 Mbps download speed. My question is can I just replace the modem and Netduma R2 will auto-detect new internet access or do I have to factory reset the device and setup again? Cheers! David824
Ive never factory reset my routers when Ive add my new modems. Im kinda guessing but I'm thinking the router will pick up on it...but if not...do a factory reset and just reboot both of them up at the same time. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 9, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 9, 2020 As above, you shouldn't need to factory reset. A reboot should suffice to establish the connection with the new modem.
