adam17539098
Hey guys, my dad accidentally took the plug out and now I can’t connect to the WiFi and the WiFi led lights are not flashing(XR300). I’ve rebooted it many times should I factory reset?

I’ve rebooted it many times should I factory reset? There is a button to turn the wifi on/off on the router. If memory serves me its the second button from the right, hold it for a about 2 seconds and the wifi leds should come back on.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 30, 2020 Administrators Share Posted August 30, 2020 If the above doesn't help go to Advanced Settings > Advanced WiFi, disable the radios, apply, reboot, then go back, enable, apply and reboot and it should be fine. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 30, 2020 Administrators Share Posted August 30, 2020 Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and then change to that. For 2.4GHz you may consider trying with 20/40MHz coexistence disabled.
adam17539098
I’m on a Mac and using the inbuilt WiFi checker. It’s telling me the best WiFi channel is a dfs channel should I use those channels ?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 30, 2020 Administrators Share Posted August 30, 2020 I wouldn't suggest using DFS, pick a channel that isn't DFS but is the least congested, 1 or 2 networks on the same channel shouldn't pose a problem. adam17539098
Ok cool thanks 🙏🏾 Also I’m on 100down and 10 up but I have a lot of devices so should I disable qos because im not really getting the speeds on my p4
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 30, 2020 Administrators Share Posted August 30, 2020 I would definitely recommend you use QoS, given your devices it would be easy to saturate the network and cause lag/buffering but QoS won't let that happen. Games don't use much bandwidth at all so you don't need high speeds on the console.
