R2 Default Wifi Password

Recommended Posts

Hi, I just received the new R2 router. Simply can not connect its wifi using the password on the label, notified as incorrect password.

I also tried the factory reset twice, not sure if it is done correctly since it does not give the beep like R1.

Tried the wire connect, the PC can get the internet but can not access to router panel using IP address.

Please help. Thanks.

When you're connected to the router via ethernet cable open command prompt on your PC and type ipconfig then post the results here please.

Here it is:

So when you try to access 192.168.77.1 in the web browser what appears?

It shows

This site can’t be reached

192.168.77.1 refused to connect.

on the browser

If you access using http://dumaos do you get the same response?

Yes, it shows similar response like this

This site can’t be reached

dumaos’s server IP address could not be found.

Just to be sure, you've connected your PC to one of the yellow LAN ports and connected the router to your ISP hub internet port?

Yes, I double checked the wire. The PC can access the internet and the ISP hub as well, just not the R2.

Okay lets try another reset please, hold the reset button in the back for 30 seconds, then release and wait 1 - 2 minutes and see if you can access it properly after that.

Yes, just tried the reset with the power connected: so all the lights except the power one on the router turned off and reboot.

The connection issues stay the same though. Wifi: 'Can't connect to this network'; Cable: still the same with both LAN IP and Dumaos in browser and incognito window.

Thank you very much for that information, I will need to pass this on to the developers to take a look at if you don't mind? They will likely ask some questions and perhaps want to do a remote session tomorrow.

Sounds great. I'll just leave this for tomorrow. Thanks a lot Fraser!

Hi @zxsimba,

Thanks for purchasing the R1 & R2 and supporting Netduma. Sorry about the initial issue, we're here to help.

Would it be possible to get TeamViewer access to your PC and we can debug it for you? If so @Netduma Alex or @Netduma Fraser can you arrange for this to happen.

Hi @zxsimba

  1. Please go to https://www.teamviewer.com/en/ and click Download
  2. Choose the Platform you're on (please use a PC or MAC so we can see accurately what is happening) and click download
  3. Open the downloaded file and select Personal for 'How do you want to use TeamViewer' and click Accept
  4. Once it has finished installing it will open the program immediately
  5. When you are ready to allow us to connect to your PC and take a look please private message myself here with the details under 'Allow Remote Control' which will be an ID and password.
  6. I'll then pass that on to a developer who will connect to you and debug the issue.

Please post here once you've sent the PM just to make sure I've received it.
