Tejjo
Hey guys, I hope you all are doing good, i am having trouble with dmz configuration. I am trying to take remote of my home desktop from external networks and i do have a static IP from ISP. It was quite simple with my old modem were i use to just turn DMZ feature and i use to assign my desktop IP address. But with my new router i dont know how to achieve this. I have explored all the options and the only funcation i can see is DMZ server, but i am not sure how this actually works 😞 Any help is much appreciated. Thanks 🙂
Bert
DMZ server is just the same as the regular DMZ function as far as I know. You place your device in that and then it should work as it should.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 28, 2020 Administrators Share Posted July 28, 2020 Hey, welcome to the forum! As above just put the LAN IP of your device into the DMZ function and it should work fine.

Just wondering, does local LAN and Public ip should be on the same VLAN ? I have public IP on class B 114.23.x.x and local network on Class A 10.0.0.0.. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 29, 2020 Administrators Share Posted July 29, 2020 What is your exact physical setup - including the models of modem/router you're using and how it's setup. That's fine, no problems there.
