I never get lower pings than 40 I’m COD MW

Hello just wondering what’s wrong with my set up... I got 400/20 internet speeds. And regardless what ping I set up to I always get the same 40 to 50. I’m trying to get to lower 20s. I got open nat I live in Texas and never get a low ping lower than 50. I have manually added my Xbox into prioritization I got my bandwidths at 70/70 and ping never shows on screen whats wrong? I got the xr500 btw

Are you using Auto Ping? If you set it to 0 and fast search off, you should find games within 15 to 25 ms ping.

First you need to know what your base ping is to see if that is even possible. Do a wired speedtest.net test via a PC when no other devices are using the internet, what ping do you get there?
