beandip
The images i provided are the results from the tests i ran in order to narrow the issue down to the router. Test 1: Description: Speedtest with my pc plugged directly into my modem Result: Close to expected speeds Test 2: Description: Router speedtest after running setup wizard Result: Close to expected speeds Test 3: Description: Speedtest with my pc plugged into my router w/ QOS enabled Result: 10% of expected speed Test 4: Description: Speedtest with my pc plugged into my router w/ QOS disabled Result: 10% of expected speed Any idea on what might be causing such slow speeds? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 9, 2020 Administrators Share Posted April 9, 2020 Hey, welcome to the forum! How long have you had the router? What firmware version are you on? How did you disable QoS exactly? If you do a speed test over WiFi do you get similar results?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 9, 2020 Administrators Share Posted April 9, 2020 Thanks for the information, in the Internet Setup page set the MAC address of the router to the MAC address of your previous router please. Sometimes there can be weird speed issues if the ISP hasn't synced with the new router. In the Device Manager table view what do the link speed columns say for the ports and devices that are online? You would select the option 'Use This MAC Address' and then enter the MAC address that your previous router used - don't accept the default MAC that is in the option already. beandip
@Netduma Fraser i didn't have a router before this. just moved to a brand new place so i bought a new router. I ended up just returning the XR500 for an asus AX-3000. I'm getting anywhere between 950-980Mbps now with no issues.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 15, 2020 Administrators Share Posted April 15, 2020 That's unfortunate, sorry to hear that but congrats on the move. I do hope you'll consider us again once you see what we're doing with DumaOS 3.0.

There should be a sticker on the underside of your old router that should have the MAC address. It'll look something like this AA-11-22-B4-33-C2
