hi everyone thinking of upgrading how is the wifi around the house on the xr500 thanks lee

Could be better R7800 has much better Wi-Fi I think, but it should be fine as it does cover a fair area, there better routers Wi-Fi wise out there though.

It's stronger than the R1 so if the R1 reached your entire house then the XR500 will definitely do that. Of course it has AC WiFi so the speeds will be a lot better as well. Depends what your needs are really.

Cheers mate as long as We can get enough speed up stairs for my daughter to game on and don’t drop out that’s good for me. We have a smart home to a lot on the WiFi. I don’t use the WiFi on the r1 as it was dropping out all the time awhile back. So we just use the super hub3’s WiFi and that’s crap

The XR500 should have no problems in that case!
