is there a way to have internet be set to a limit on certain devices

when ever i try to play a game or something and my brother is downloading a game i always get ping/packetloss issues is there a way to limit that device so it doesnt ever affect me when im playing games i have qos set up so devices cant go over 10mbps but inorder to get rid of all the ping/packetloss issues i have to set qos all the way down to 5% so its at 2.5mbps anything higher i start to get issues i have 50mbps internet up/down is there a way to have it set higher but also not make me lag?

Hi.

 

This is what congestion control is for. go to congestion control and where the "device flower" is drag the percentage to your desired level for your gaming device for upload and save then do the same for download and save. This will give your gaming packets priority.  For more information click Here .

I'd recommend giving priority to your console on the Bandwidth Allocation flower, setting Anti-Bufferbloat to something more reasonable like 70%, and adding your games/consoles to Traffic Prioritization.

If other devices on your network are downloading, then Anti-Bufferbloat and Bandwidth Allocation should sort it out. If the download is happening on the same device you're trying to game on, then you'll need to use Traffic Prioritization to separate out the important traffic and prioritize that.
