Oh_No_My_Salt
Haven't had my NetDuma set up after a while of having it stored away. Set it back up, only to find all 6 lights on top, and the lights in the back, keep flashing and doing nothing else. I can't access the interface, nor does "NetDuma R1" appear in my available connections on any device. https://forum.netduma.com/topic/23809-power-light-and-act-lights-flashing/ I came across this link, which seems to be the very same problem I'm dealing with here. Any help is appreciated
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 29, 2019 Administrators Share Posted December 29, 2019 Hey, welcome to the forum and Happy Holidays! I assume you tried the first suggestion in that topic? Do you have a spare power adapter of the same voltage that you can try with the router? I assume you have no internet through it at all? Is it plugged into a power extender or a wall outlet?
Oh_No_My_Salt
Yes, I unplugged it from the wall outlet and plugged it back in with the reset button. No change. Tried again with our spare power adapter, no change. No, I am not receiving any internet through my NetDuma.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 29, 2019 Administrators Share Posted December 29, 2019 When you're plugged in via ethernet open a command prompt on the PC and type ipconfig then press enter, post a screenshot here of the results you get please. Oh_No_My_Salt
Opened command prompt, typed in ipconfig, and got the following.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 29, 2019 Administrators Share Posted December 29, 2019 Okay that's interesting. The results are indicating that an ethernet cable wasn't connected at all and that you're wirelessly connected to your hitron hub rather than the R1. Does that make sense? If you disable WiFi and make sure you're connected via ethernet and do the test again what are the results then?
Oh_No_My_Salt
Disabled Wi-Fi, and re-entered ipconfig. Got the following
Administrators Netduma Alex Posted January 2, 2020 Administrators Share Posted January 2, 2020 If you go to Network and Sharing centre, right click on the ethernet adapter, go to properties, to to IPv4 settings, make sure that everything's set to automatic. You could also try the Diagnostic button when right clicking, because this will reset the adapter as part of it's process.
Oh_No_My_Salt
Found the Ethernet Adapter on Network and Sharing centre, went through diagnosing, could not find an ethernet plugged in. Could not find IPv4 settings despite searching for it.
Administrators Netduma Alex Posted January 7, 2020 Administrators Share Posted January 7, 2020 The fact that it can't even detect the cable is mildly concerning. I'd say try another cable just to make sure.
Oh_No_My_Salt
I have attempted the same diagnosis with 2 other ethernet cables. Same results
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 7, 2020 Administrators Share Posted January 7, 2020 Can you try it plugged into some of the other LAN ports of the router please and see if it gives the same results?
Oh_No_My_Salt
Other LAN ports are giving the same results
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 7, 2020 Administrators Share Posted January 7, 2020 I think it is bricked unfortunately.
