Alix Posted November 26, 2019 Share Posted November 26, 2019 (edited) Hi just been wondering I put the wan ip of the netduma r1 into the downstairs router now I have a open nat type with the netduma and no double natting on the xbox one s. Is this the right way to connect the netduma when you have a router downstairs thanks. Netduma Alex Posted November 26, 2019 Share Posted November 26, 2019 Putting the Netduma into the DMZ of the downstairs router is perfectly safe, because the R1 will filter out any dodgy traffic. The only thing you need to be careful of is putting a computer (like a windows PC) into DMZ, as that can leave it vulnerable. Doing it with a router is no problem at all.
