xlr8r
ok , so i have a BT Openreach HG612 (hacked) modem setup as static IP 192.168.2.15 On the XR500 router , the DHCP IP Ranges have been set to 192.168.2.18 - 253 So.... why is the modem appearing as a device in the Device Manager Map, when its outside the DHCP IP range ? thanks
Netduma Alex
Well just because it wasn't assigned an IP from the DHCP pool, that doesn't mean it hasn't got an IP. The router can still see it.
xlr8r
well. it wasnt visible on .24 hotfix firmware, only since upgrading does it now appear. i also see another device that wasnt previously visible that is outside the ip range...? no biggie i suppose, i would just prefer the devices NOT to be visible since they are outside the IP ranges set . Netduma Alex
Weird that they wouldn't show before, but they do now. But I would expect the XR500 to show all IPs in it's subnet.
