PPTP on XR700 ?

Hello everybody

 

I would like to know how to use the PPTP protocol for VPN on my XR700 please. I only see UDP and TCP.

I use Express VPN, HideMyAss, PureVPN.

i take it that your network knowledge is limited (not meanining to insult you) as tcp and udp are packet types. PPTP is being phased out by most if not all vpn providers at is very insecure compared to penvpn.

 

setting up hma and pure are easy and express vpn i am sure you can get a config file from them. Please check this link out for more information

Hi, thanks for the answer. 

 

My network knowledge is limited as you said but I know about TCP and UDP, what I meant is that they are they only '''customizable settings'' I saw on Hybrid VPN.

I already sat up the VPN but for some ''need of speed reasons'' I need PPTP over other protocols. Security is not a problem.

I can easily activate PPTP on ExpressVPN for windows, but on Duma OS, I see nothing.

The Hybrid VPN only supports OpenVPN at the moment. We may include more options in the future however. The Hybrid VPN allows you to select applications/services you want the VPN to apply to so if you want high speeds but want to protect Skype for example then you could have the VPN apply to Skype and the download go through the normal connection at optimal speeds.

I am trying to use PPTP to reduce Input Lag on FIFA and the VPN normally applies everything automatically for the PS4.

I am just going to abandon this game because it is so broken.

I have seen that even in this forum, some people complain about it.

Using a VPN is unlikely to make your connection better but rather make it worse. Yes because we can't select specific services/applications on consoles. If we can optimise FIFA in anyway further we will definitely look into it.

You are already doing well with FIFA because I can see and block servers with Duma OS. The problem is EA.
