Can Netduma fix...

Recommended Posts

getting shot by invisible player?  Was playing Cod AW and got engaged into a fight.  Other player makes it to safety behind a wall.  I stand guard aiming down sights waiting for player to peek or boost out.  Next thing I now I'm down and then the players character model then comes out behind the wall.  Anyone else experience this?  Are there any settings in the R1 to assist with this?  Or is the Lag Comp too strong.

Setup: PS4, Benq 23" monitor 3ms response, cable modem/router, R1

Most games I play are on a dedi server with about a 30 ms response time now thanks to geo filter.

Its just sounds like a usually BS.

Now if its a one/occasional case scenerio then its just the way it is.

AW and its skill base mm can match you up with people very far away. Earlier today one of the fellows here posted a screen with a guy in his looby pinging 1400 ms.

If you get a guy like that in a looby he could be in that room before you notice kill you and live the room.

NetDuma router is making sure your are as close to the host as posible but it dosent stop other people connecting to that same host. And with SBMM you are geting those moon far people and this sort of stuff happens.

If this was just that one time it sounds like a bad host. If it continues I'd recommend you try these suggestions to try and get a different host.

  1. Set your home location, then put the distance really small, press the 'Snap' button a few times to auto expand the Geo-filter to an optimum size for getting games.
  2. Increase the Geo-filter to include the padlock so you get into that game.
  3. Disable strict mode, this will allow more games to be connected to, please note they may appear outside of your filter.
  4. Move your home until you get a different host or padlock appear (you may have to restart the game but may not) and bare in mind our anti-cheat if you connect to games and continue to try and find other hosts.

Also give your console more priority if you haven't done so already and apply anti-flood at around 70%. If you haven't gone through it already here is our optimal settings guide http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=fine_tune_netduma
