Hi, welcome to the forum! So first off, on your R1 make sure UPnP is enabled. If it's not getting you an open NAT, you could try port forwarding for the game / console you're on. It's not too hard to port forward stuff, so give it a try If that doesn't work you might need to put your R1 into the DMZ of your modem (Netgear C3700). To do that, go to System Information on your R1 and find the WAN IP. Copy that number, then go to the DMZ section on your Modem control panel and paste it in the DMZ box.
