willman
Hi, I got the Netduma up and running yesterday and everything is working perfectly apart from my bt sport channels on the tv, anyone know anything about this? I have BTinfinity 2 and had the bt homehub router which was connected to the little white box modem, but I just took the homehub out and connected the netduma to the white modem so the netduma is my full on router. Zennon
Is your netduma's wan ip in your other routers DMZ i have seen another user have this problem and this fixed it for him. How to..... http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=how_do_i_open_my_nat&s[]=dmz
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted June 17, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted June 17, 2015 For another user the way to fix this was to connect the Netduma to the BT Hub and then run all the devices through the Netduma. It shouldn't matter that the Netduma isn't the primary router as long as it is in the other router's DMZ. This thread on the BT forum seams to suggest that BT only support their own routers and therefore BT Sport will only work with the BT HH and not third party routers. willman
Oh yes I know this works because I tried that before, I just thought that going straight through the netduma will improve my pings a lot more because having like this means it will still have to go through this terrible HH3. I'll change it back for now, any idea why the bt channel won't work through the duma, but fine on the HH, maybe that could be looked into and made compatible if it is a real problem. Cheers. Hi William. I think that's an issue with BT - I think they have tried to make their products only compatible with their products but I think it is mainly a problem with them. It shouldn't add any/much ping on at all - probably less than 1ms.

You might find it useful to run through this guide here to get everything set up (including the GeoFilter) as recommended for the game that you are playing. Do you know how to go about making my current router go the dmz mode to allow everything though it to make the bt sport work? I'm using a tp router atm

Could you try and describe how you want everything set up for example Wall >> Modem >> Homehub >> Netduma or hoever you want your set up
willman
I wanted it to be modem >> netduma >> everything, but the bt sport doesn't seem to allow that. So now it goes, modem >> tp link router >> netduma >> everything. The tp link router does work with the Bt sport, i have everything connected to the netduma now apart from the ethernet which connects the bt sport, which is in the tp link router. That's why i was wondering if making the dmz allow everything to pass through the tp link router handing it to the netduma could allow for the bt sport to work fine, while everything going through the r1. Does this help explain how to put the Netduma in the DMZ? The IP address that you put into the tp is the one in device manager after 'WAN IP'

Administrators Netduma Iain Posted June 18, 2015 Administrators Share Posted June 18, 2015 Hi Willman, I'm not exactly sure of the specifics of BT sport but can you ask BT how to use a third party router. If they say you can't just connect the TV directly into the homehub and all other devices into the Netduma.
