Netduma unresponsive.

Recommended Posts

My netduma randomly gets unresponsive and im unable to open the interface and i lose connection to the internet and the only way to restart it is to pull the plug and plug it back in.It is very frustrating when im playing rainbow 6. I have it in a well ventilated place and room temperature is optimal. So far i have tried resetting it and it works for a couple of weeks and randomly stops being responsive. On ping plotter im unable to see the latency to netduma when this happens. I have it for almost 2 years now and never had this issue before. Please help. Thank you.

When this next happens, run an IPconfig. To do this, open Command Prompt (on a PC or Laptop connected to the Netduma) and type 'ipconfig' before pressing enter. If you could screenshot the results and post them here that'd be great.

You should also try following the steps on this guide: http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022375-i-unticked-preserve-settings-when-upgrading-can-t-access-my-router-helpas well as this guide: http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022395-why-can-t-i-access-the-r1-interface-

When this happens, do the lights on the router stay on or are they switched off? Do you hear any beeping (quite loud) from the router when this happens?

Please let us know how this all goes, we'll get to the bottom of it :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I will keep you updated if this happens again and will provide the required screenshots. Thanks again :)

Btw the lights stay on and i don't hear any beep sounds.

Thanks for letting us know. It's worth keeping an eye on these things to ensure this isn't a hardware malfunction - especially after 2 years of use. Let us know how it goes, and also let us know if anything has changed with your line recently / whether your Ethernet cables could be faulty.

Have you just started using port forwarding with the geofilter by any chance? Using them simultaneously causes GUI freezing on any firmware after 1.03.4. You can use either with no issues but using both at the same time causes the GUI to take like 5 minutes to load a page (pretty annoying when you want to tweak settings, or just turn one of them off to stop the freezing!). UPnP doesn't cause this so I just stick to that now.

I only use upnp and i don't use geo filter as i play Rainbow 6 on PC so i can manually select servers with good ping. I only use netduma for congestion control and device prioritization.

Thanks for clarifying that. Let us know how you get on with the steps I suggested above and we'll have a look at the results :)
