hi  i have solved my problem as locked out wifi  disconecting eveything and applying ethernet to port two on R1 to pc alowed gui

arfter creating new location in networks mac osx  ethernet dhcp auto worked .

bit concerned about having a dynamic ip with pppoe

most ppoe isp connections are dynamic ip address based unless you go with a company like idnet who by default give static ip's but charge through the nose for their services. Normally for a static ip address you must shell out for it!

The O.R hg612 modem is superb, many of us on the forum use it.

Big Dog is right, static IP addresses are usually a service that is offered though it can be costly. I'm glad you're able to access the UI again - can you access it via WiFi?

Ah that's great. £2 for a static IP doesn't seem too shabby, it's just a shame you have to pay for it at all! Still, if this issue happens again be sure to let us know.
