PharmDawgg Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I tried to set it up but i guess my Xbox One does not like being behind a VPN server. I got all sorts of issues when I selected the check box next to my console. (Moderate NAT, Connection not available) So is the feature sort of like Host Analysis --- not for console gamers. Thanks.
Zennon Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 What i made from the video the up coming feature leaves your console gaming on your normal broadband and all other traffic on vpn so when your ip is seen on the net they try to ddos your vpn ip because they can not see your consoles ip. Forgive me if i am wrong, Iain?
Administrators Netduma Iain Posted June 8, 2015 Administrators Posted June 8, 2015 Unfortunately on consoles you can get the peers IP from the game so it doesn't work for them. On PC games you connect to dedicated server and thats it. If you trust the server e.g. Valve servers or twitch servers then your IP can't be acquired. tl;dr It does not work for console games
Zennon Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Ah I see thanks, I was not going to use the feature but its good to know.
