Mustang
I really liked the zoom capabilities on the R1 router for the geo-filter, can we get the same capability implemented on the DumaOS version? It seems to me that I only have 1 zoom level on the new OS or am I totally missing something? I also think the distance circle and sweeping bar are way to thick, narrower would look better. Thanks for putting out what has to be the best true gaming router ever made. Mustang

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 16, 2018 Administrators Share Posted January 16, 2018 Hi Mustang, Really happy to hear that you’re enjoying DumaOS! You’re correct there is only one zoom level at the moment however we will be adding more zoom levels in the next update as it has been highly requested. Regarding the thickness of the radius, is this on the main page of the Geo-Filter or when the map is pinned? If when pinned we are aware of that and so will improve that but a refresh of the page should fix it. If on the main page what browser are you using and is this when you’re zoomed in or out? Thanks a lot for the feedback.
Mustang
Thanks for the response, since I am currently at work I will take a look when I get home to verify whether it is the main geo page or when pinned, I normally use Chrome as a browser, I will also give Microsoft Exploder a try and see if it is different for me. Dcm12
HI i have also noticed this i have had my r1 a few days and was able to adjust zoom on geo zone , but now cant . i dident upgraded software ,, i could zoom,, i also get missing ping plot graphs not showing up , because no severes were showing up ,? so when the zone is tiny i cant detect visually plot what im connecting to as its all a big glob of pulsing servers ,lacking definition , kind of undermines a very usfull function for users of dumaOS. i did not update ? is the lack of zoom due to latest os update im currently on R1 debug version 1.03.6j running on rb-951g-2hnd . mustang how does one pin the GF to dashboard you can make it bigger that's what i do when i want to set my home location. im on osx cheers
Mustang
Using either Edge or Chrome made no difference in how objects were displayed. The geo-filter home page looked ok for the radius, still think it would look better if the thickness of the radius was narrower, but that is my opinion. The Dashboard, no matter how I sized the pinned geo-filter, the radius to me is way to thick. I have attached a cropped picture of the pinned geo-filter (the whole page to large to attach at 5.6 KB) showing what I see when the geo-filter sized to takes up over 2/3rd of the dashboard. At least I think I attached a file, it does not show that a file was attached. If the file did not actually upload it was not from lack of trying Mustang

DumaOS is only found on the Nighthawk XR500 Gaming Router from Netgear. So you won't have the dashboard feature mentioned. Also the R1 does have multiple levels of zoom, use the drop box to select your zoom distance and then zoom in on the map. If you need any help with the R1 please post here: http://forum.netduma.com/forum/12-general-support/so that you questions can be answered much faster. Your picture didn't attach so it's hard to imagine, if you could upload to something like imgur and then post the link here that will be the easiest. If it's what I'm thinking does this occur immediately after having pinned the Geo-Filter Map and then going to the dashboard? If so then refresh the page, does it appear better where the radius is less thick?
Administrators Netduma Iain Posted January 17, 2018 Administrators Share Posted January 17, 2018 Hi Mustange, Raddy is showing you a trick to zoom. It's not really a solution. We'll add more zoom next week. Also I'm going to ask NETGEAR if you early adopters for XR500 can get an 'Early Access' programmer going. Allowing you to get the DumaOS updates much quicker. No guarantee yet, it's a decision for their software quality team.
