Cant access main interface of Netduma

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I've had my Netduma for over 2 years now and its been working perfectly.

I've recently subscribed for a static IP( im not sure if this is the reason) and ever since I cannot access the main interface of netduma.

Whenever I type in  192.168.88. I get this site cant be reached, took too long to respond.

Need some help please to get this resolved.

Regards

Joe

Hi,

Not sure if that’s a typo or not but just in case, you need to type 192.168.88.1 to access the interface.

Hi there,

yes it was a typo. I actually go to 192.168.88.1 and it gives me the same page message "site cant be reached, took too long to respond".

Need more details as above. Are you directly connected to the R1? Or are you connected via WiFI? If WiFi make sure it's actually the R1 WiFi.

Did you change the LAN IP? Assuming you're on Windows click the start icon, type 'cmd' and hit enter. In the black window that appears type 'ipconfig'. The will be something that says default gateway, use that IP in your web browser. What does it take you to?

Sorry for the late reply.

Im connected directly, not by wifi. Im based in Dubai and my ISP is Du telecom.

My connection below: Wall - Apple Router - R1 - PC

when I type in Ip config I get the below:

   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . : lan
   IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : fdea:6e70:50b8::a28
   IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : fdea:6e70:50b8:0:c8f8:e6f2:9c78:a496
   Temporary IPv6 Address. . . . . . : fdea:6e70:50b8:0:8487:1088:c7f:64c8
   Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::c8f8:e6f2:9c78:a496%9
   IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.1.74
   Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
   Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.1.1

Putting the default gateway Ip into my browser gives me:

" This site cant be reached"

The Netduma is not your default gateway, you must be connecting through your Apple router, that is why you can’t access the Netduma interface. Double check everything in the quick start guide here: http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000024070-quickstart-guide-installing-the-router-accessing-the-interface
