mikehd
Hi, I have enable cookies ticked under misc settings prior to the power loss yet I lost some settings. The main issue is with the device manager. I had edited all the device names to reflect their use/owner and deleted some old ones no longer around but now those changes are gone. Also, I can't seem to get my router time use my PC clock time. I initially had to manually set the time to reflect my PC time as the NTP servers didn't seem to be doing anything. After a power loss (I'm on a UPS and had cookies enabled in the R1) the settings came back with the wrong time and I can't revert to using the NTP servers. I can still manually set the time but this behavior doesn't seem right. Are these known issues?

Cutting the power will cause a loss of settings. To fix your time (I have no idea why you'd want to do this anyway) go to time, click in the box that says "select time", click set and then update. Ah, didn't know a reboot was needed for the settings to be retained. Based on what I've read here I thought you just need to tick enable cookies. I like the router time to match my local time for troubleshooting, like my VPN disconnect issue.

Reboot is also a save button for this router. Not sure why, but it makes sense as most other routers require a reboot after changing settings. I believe it's because the flash memory has limited writes
