Hello,

I use my netduma only for my ps4 pro.... i configurated the router how i can.. but how can i get the full bandwith or connection on my ps4? I know that netduma say test isn't correct but there must be an option to get the full connection. I test it 5 time with lan cable and everytime the same result... normally i have 25mbit down and 5mbit up... and the result were 6mbit down and 1mbit up...

Geo-filter: germany, auto ping host enable, kilometres enable,

Strict mode enable, show dormant hosts enable

Show legend enable

The congestion control is 70/70 on preemptive

Device prioritosation 97% ps4 down and up

Hyper-traffic on

Upnp enable

Miscellaneous : deep packet enable

Upnp forwarding enable

Multicast snoopin enable

Cookies enable

Ping diagnostic: ping -good / jitter: exceptional /

spikes: exceptional / packet loss: no loss

Dhcp lease: i write to the mac adresse of my ps4 the host number

Thats the configuration of my ps4 on netduma...

So i will be happy if you can help me if you could.. otherwice does it gives any other options which makes my connection better?

If its give please write me

Thanks

Hello, welcome to the forum!

As you mentioned console speed tests are inaccurate - they even say it on the tests!

You have 70/70 for anti-flood which means the speeds won't be as high (but you should keep it set that way to prevent lag), you definitely do not need to prioritise the console that much either. Gaming doesn't use much bandwidth at all - way less than 1mbps.

I would disable upnp forwarding in miscellaneous settings.

Make sure ALL devices are connected to the R1 otherwise congestion control will not work correctly - could also cause you to not get full speeds if devices connected to something else were downloading.

If you want slightly higher speed on your PS4 pro for downloads etc then your CC *Congestion Control* has to be at a 100%.  When you set your CC at 70% that is what you'll speed be at or cut down to.  Just keep that in mind.  If you do a speed test with your PC and your CC is at 70% you wont get your full speed there either.  Try putting it back to 100% see what the speed test is via Ethernet cable from R1 router to PC/Laptop.

I just want the best connection for playing game.. i am fifa and call of duty player... the netduma is connectes on fritzbox... the upnp is disable by fritzbox and the exposed host is on.. i read that i have to disable the upnp by the fritzbox, cause the netduma has his firmware...

@ guardian1 : is it good for playing if i make the cc at 100%?

And i enable the upnp forwarding, cause i use ports extra manual.. i dont know if it's for this

So the recommended CC from Netduma themselves is 70/70% for both download and upload.  Now you can set it at 70/70 and forget it or you can use 70/70 as a building block to fine tune whatever may be best for your personal home network/experience.  I've used 70/70 for a long time but more recently use 60 for download and 99 for upload.  For me that seems to give me the best and lowest ping when using dslreports.com  I dont know what the fritzbox is but like Fraser said up above me make sure your game console and any other devices are connected to NETDUMA R1 router be it via Ethernet cable or Wireless.  If you are not using Port Forwarding then I think uPnP should be enabled.  If you are using then you should disable uPnP.  Fraser and many others on here are extremely knowledgeable so  definitely make sure you take their advice.

If you want the DNS to be applied to just the PS4 then do it on the console, if you want it to apply to all devices then do so on the router. If you are changing your DNS because you think it will give you a better gaming experience that is a common misconception. At the very most you may notice a slight increase to website speeds, that's it.
