SM961 Posted July 14, 2017 Author Posted July 14, 2017 Use reactive and test again The high ping I'm talking about it is only when my internet is utilized. Ping goes 200+ and CC is tweaked from 70.
Zennon Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 And you have typed your speed tested bandwidth into the duma?
SM961 Posted July 14, 2017 Author Posted July 14, 2017 And you have typed your speed tested bandwidth into the duma? Yes.
Zennon Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 How does reactive handle things for you? Give the sliders a waggle just incase then rest them back at 70 each.
SM961 Posted July 14, 2017 Author Posted July 14, 2017 How does reactive handle things for you? Give the sliders a waggle just incase then rest them back at 70 each. As soon as I get home I will test reactive.
iAmMoDBoX Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 As soon as I get home I will test reactive. This is me on 70/70. The left half is idle and the right half is uploading a video to youtube
SM961 Posted July 14, 2017 Author Posted July 14, 2017 This is me on 70/70. The left half is idle and the right half is uploading a video to youtube My ping becomes high when Netflix and YouTube, music are being played and I trying to game. Yeah, I need to have what you have, a smooth ping. I'll post a picture when my internet gets used.
iAmMoDBoX Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 My ping becomes high when Netflix and YouTube, music are being played and I trying to game. Yeah, I need to have what you have, a smooth ping. I'll post a picture when my internet gets used. Then something is definitely setup wrong. But in your original post, that picture looks fine to me if it's being slammed
SM961 Posted July 14, 2017 Author Posted July 14, 2017 Then something is definitely setup wrong. But in your original post, that picture looks fine to me if it's being slammed I have to agree, but I don't know what. Now if I use Preemptive @ 70 I get packet loss. So I guess is reactive for me.
iAmMoDBoX Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Ping is about 225. There's no way... if you're around for a little while I can teamviewer
SM961 Posted July 14, 2017 Author Posted July 14, 2017 There's no way... if you're around for a little while I can teamviewer Pre makes a mess on my line, Reactive is much better now that I test it.
iAmMoDBoX Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Pre makes a mess on my line, Reactive is much better now that I test it. Still shouldn't have spikes up to 225 Just curious what modem are you using?
SM961 Posted July 14, 2017 Author Posted July 14, 2017 Still shouldn't have spikes up to 225 Just curious what modem are you using? TP link TC 7610.
iAmMoDBoX Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 TP link TC 7610. That's what I thought. Wasn't sure if you switched... Do you have IPv6 disabled?
SM961 Posted July 14, 2017 Author Posted July 14, 2017 Still shouldn't have spikes up to 225 Just curious what modem are you using? I'm going do some more testing as soon as everyone here goes to sleep.
iAmMoDBoX Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 I'm going do some more testing as soon as everyone here goes to sleep. Is IPv6 on?
SM961 Posted July 14, 2017 Author Posted July 14, 2017 That's what I thought. Wasn't sure if you switched... Do you have IPv6 disabled? Yes. it's disabled
iAmMoDBoX Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Reactive at 70 both ways. Right click on the column names at the top and check every box so it shows the max ping
SM961 Posted July 16, 2017 Author Posted July 16, 2017 Right click on the column names at the top and check every box so it shows the max ping This happens at idle and whenever there is some heavy downloading I tried @ 70 and I also tried tweaking to 30/20.
Zennon Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 To recap all devices are connected to the netduma including all WiFi devices and WiFi is turned off on any other router in your set up? Can we see and idle plot to compare to please.
SM961 Posted July 16, 2017 Author Posted July 16, 2017 Yes, I have Modem>netduma>Asus wifi. Idle plot with wifi turned off.
SM961 Posted July 16, 2017 Author Posted July 16, 2017 To recap all devices are connected to the netduma including all WiFi devices and WiFi is turned off on any other router in your set up? Can we see and idle plot to compare to please. I will test another idle plot tonight and post it. As long as there is not heavy downloading ping will stay good.
Zennon Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 When I mentioned WiFi off I was meaning if you had a modem/router before the Duma as this would not be congestion controlled by the Netduma, the AP mode router after the duma is OK to leave on.
