Hi guys i am after a little advice.

I play The Crew which is a P2P game on Xbox One and i was wondering what settings actually work with P2P games with my Netduma R1. ie: geo-filter, ping assist etc. Since i got my Netduma R1 i have been doing some testing but cannot workout what's best, so any advice would be appreciated :)

Thanks

Z

Hey, welcome to the forum!

How many people are in a match? If it's just 1 v 1 then ping assist should work just fine. If it's more than that then ping assist may not be as useful. I would recommend around 1000km radius and you should be good to go. If you live in a country where the population may be lower then you may need to expand your radius a bit more.

There can be anywhere up to 8 players in one session, PvP race etc.. I am still undecided about ping assist, can it and peer ping be used at the same time or not?

Peer ping shows all the pings (in there own colours) ok but trying to workout which is which on geo-location is hard as there is no corrolation between them. Maybe you could have the peer ping colours on the map? or maybe clicking the coloured ping for it to show up on the map? just an idea for your parousal :)

I live in the uk and get plenty of good connections all over europe and to be fair in USA too when i open up the geo-filter to cover USA. but there is always that one ahole who likes to cause grief or has such a bad connection that no one can race because there ping is astronomical. don't get me wrong i'm not talking about blocking there and then in a lobby but blocking them so when i leave a lobby next time i'm in game and join a lobby again i cannot connect to them again as they are in my deny list.

I'm on my second week with the R1 and the difference to my game (the crew) and daughters too (tera online) is great since connecting it up, am still getting used to it thou...

Thanks

Z

They can be used at the same time yes. It may not work with more people but do try it and see if that helps.

Yeah that is something we definitely want to resolve in DumaOS. At the moment you do unfortunately have to ping each one manually to find the 1 person who's lagging the most and then block them.

That's great to hear! Let us know if you have any further questions, we'll be happy to help.
