jujuthedon
My netduma continues to have packet loss and has been getting hit offline. I already confirmed the netduma is the issue by simply unplugging it and using my modem and confirmed there is no packet loss with just my modem. As soon as i use my netduma i have packet loss again. I was hoping there is a way i can get some assistance or be told how to change the ip address on my router.
BIG__DOG
please don't create multiple threads for the same issue. Someone from netduma will answer soon as it was roughly midnight in UK when you posted your 1st thread. Your original thread will probably get the resolution you require! -- Hi. Are you connecting to a modem or modem/router combo? What make and model is it?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 31, 2017 Administrators Share Posted May 31, 2017 What are you using to test packet loss? Have you changed the ethernet cables you're using to rule that out? What makes you sure that someone is DDoSing you?
jujuthedon
Im using team speak to test my packet loss, I use CAT 7 cables, and I am a rather big player in Call of Duty and have the largest Online OQ coming up this saturday. I already talked with my isp and confirmed the netduma is getting hit off no other router or modem is when i have tested it. If possible id like to just change the residential ip with my netduma. Currently i use a netgear cable modem only with my netduma. My speeds are 300/25 TWC/Spectrum provider.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 31, 2017 Administrators Share Posted May 31, 2017 Just to be clear when you're saying hit off you mean DDoS is that correct? If so then that is impossible, your whole connection would go offline regardless of the router being used at the time. More likely your connection is just dropping. What is your physical setup? Are drops wireless or wired? Have you switched the ethernet cables out to make sure they're not faulty though? Changing IP would occur by rebooting your ISP hub - if you're on a dynamic IP. jujuthedon
I have tried different cables. I am wired for everything I use. Only my netduma has packet loss i have tested just my modem and also tried another router with my modem and had no issues at all.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 1, 2017 Administrators Share Posted June 1, 2017 Try through different ports on the R1 to rule out a faulty port. I'm not sure what your speeds are but disable turbo mode if you have it enabled and see if that helps.
