ByMgRs Posted May 24, 2015 Share Posted May 24, 2015 now before you guys ban me from the forum I can explain myself. I was looking on ebay and found something called a meraki z1. It retails for a few hundred with a license which it came with (brand new) and it was going for 99p so I bid £2 and got it. So i was having a look at the features and they look solid but I have done little research so far. I was wondering if any of you guys had used one before and could give any advice, should I sell it on for hopefully a nice little profit or should I put it in dmz and use some of the features, for example I am looking into getting some unifi access points, could I use that as a traffic shaper/manager for those? Akic Posted May 25, 2015 Share Posted May 25, 2015 The z1 is vpn extender for companies with meraki vpn appliances, I've only ever seen it used for remote workers to get VPN access to the corporate network.
