eyeamg0dly
Ok, so I have kind of been going through slow internet speeds since I got my duma. I generally just game, so it hasn't been much of a problem, so I have just been dealing with it. Recently, I have been having random hardware problems and now it is forcing me to address this issue with my duma. Internet speeds plugged in the duma are extremely slow. To give you an idea, fast.com (netflix testing site) gives me around 7-9 Mbps when hardwired into my duma, 32-25 Mbps through the wifi to my laptop. When I hardwire straight to my modem, I am getting 90-95 Mbps. I pay for 200/20. I have followed all the troubleshooting guides several times. I have searched other threads regarding this issue and found no solutions. I am starting to wonder if my router is just not working correctly. KHtechgadgets
I'm having the exact same issue.I have a plan of 40MBPS Download and Upload both. But from the Duma,I only get 12 Download and Upload.Earlier it worked fine, but the past week,it has been giving me problems. Also,I have a modem which needs a router.Since i have a PPPoE connection,i need to put in the Username and Password. When i Hooked up my modem, directly with the Duma it was giving me terrible speeds. So I decided to get another router and only put in the Username and Password to make the internet work. Then under that I used the Duma as my Primary Router.I know that could mean that the Duma would not work properly but to fix that I disabled Wifi so that All devices in my house connect to the Duma and not this router. So in this setup,No devices are connected to the main router other than the modem. All the devices are actually connected under the Duma so that all the features of the Duma work. Now I did this whole thing a year ago when i got my new Internet connection. And the reason I had to set it up this way was cause the speeds were terrible. But now almost 11 months later, its happening again and I dont know what to do....Is this a bug? Will this Subside itself or is there a problem between my ISP and the Duma? Regardless though, I am not getting close to 100 Mbps through the duma. Latest hard wired speed test is 10 Mpbs, and wifi speed at 38 Mbps. Did you follow the settings as above? The R1 should be able to handle PPPoE and get you your speeds with no issue, I would remove the router between the R1 and modem and try it. double checked settings and they are same as you have posted. Latest hard wired speed test is 10 Mpbs, and wifi speed at 38 Mbps. If you're getting higher speeds through WiFi then that definitely indicates it could be an issue with the cable connecting the PC to the router. Use a WiFi analyser to change to the least congested channel, are you able to reach higher speeds that way? If so then it's almost certainly to do with the cable or the ethernet adapter on your PC. Did you not read my original post? If when you do a test direct to the modem you're probably using the ethernet that's plugged into the router itself? If so then it could still be the cable you use PC to router.
Urnome
So I am not sure if your new to the Duma but I just got mine and my speeds fro my isp are supposed to be 150 Mbps. I kept pulling only 30 on the Duma. Scratching my head not sure what to do. Went through the tutorial. Me being a dumby I believe it's in congestion control where you set you upload and download. Well I set just the upload, no download so that's why I was getting low speeds.
